When the river crosses the border it chisels into a narrow and deep gorge which is not passable when filled with water.
The river has carved out
5 troughs, the longest being
5 km long, and the area is rich with wonderful natural attractions, the consequence of ice and snow or of karst or water origin.
Endangered animal species take refuge in the valley of the
Učja.
A visit to the
Učja Valley is possible by the path along the left bank of the river or along the road from
Žaga to
Učja, which both lead from
10 to
100 m above the river.
