Artists’ association Insula
Insula is the gallery of the Artists Association Insula, which is a professional association of qualified artist from the southern Littoral region. In twenty years of its activity both the association and the gallery have held more than 450 exhibitions, mainly by artists from the Littoral region because the main function of the Artists Association Insula is to follow and present quality artistic achievements in the southern part of the Littoral region. The association was founded in 1987. Its activity includes organizing national exchanges of the exhibitions with foreign galleries.

Besides holding exhibitions in the gallery Insula, the association is also active outside the gallery. Every year they organize several projects which take place on other exhibition grounds and alternative sites. Their regular exhibition program is held in the entrance lobby of the Koper’s city hall (the Praetorian Palace), where they organize about 10 exhibitions per year. Similarly, they collaborate with the Manzioli Palace in Izola and other coastal exhibition sites.
