First 7 kilometres from the source of river Lahinja is a protected area and is proclaimed as the area of the Regional Park Lahinja. It is situated southeast from Dragatuš, mostly in the area of the villages Veliki Nerajec and Pusti Gradac. The park comprises of the source area and the upper stream of river Lahinja. The central natural figure is Lahinja, but particular stress is given to 6 specially protected natural landmarks, 2 natural reserves and 5 cultural landmarks.
