A dispersed settlement on highly dissected and fertile hills near the source of the Ložnica. It has become highly urbanized in recent years. There are a number of new, one-family dwellings while true farms – despite favourable conditions for fruit – and wine-growing on the adret slopes – have virtually disappeared. Mixed forest predominates on the northern hillsides and in the numerous gorges and narrow valleys. The settlement is made up of Spodnje (Lower) and Zgornje (Upper) Kavče as well as the hamlet of Babja Klada.
