Culture represents a great potential for addressing more demanding guests, streamlining of tourist flows throughout the country and implementation of measures for the deseasonalisation of tourism. This is why the Strategy for Sustainable Growth of the Slovenian Tourism 2017-2021 has ranked it among the main products of Slovenian tourism.

As one of the key products suitable for addressing demanding guests who are looking for unique experiences, culture is included in various STB activities this year. It will play an important role of presenting Slovenia at all the most important business events at home and abroad.

Among other things, a special webinar will be prepared for the members of Virtuoso, the leading global association in the luxury travel industry. At the beginning of this year, Slovenia and its cultural tourism offer was already presented at the Virtuoso Travel Week in New York. This prestigious association has also included Slovenia onto the list of the recommended sustainable destinations to visit in 2019. Culture will also be put into forefront in Vienna during the Falstaff event featuring the Alpe-Adria region, the roadshow in China and at a special event in New York in September. As usual, it will also be included in the biggest B2B tourism event in Slovenia, Slovenian Incoming Workshop, and also in numerous press trips and Instameets.

When it comes to digital, culture will be exposed in the context of the numerous STB’s digital content marketing projects; among other also in the multi-channel content digital campaign with National Geographic and the new My Way communication platform, which will be launched at this year's ITB Berlin. Alongside, numerous social media posts, newsletters and press release put it into the forefront. The STB will also enrich the media library on the www.slovenia.info with top-quality photos and videos on the theme of culture, which can be used for promoting Slovenia as a tourist destination. Culture is also highlighted within the Snovalec, Sejalec and EDEN - European Destinations of Excellence – projects.
