The Portal www.slovenia.info Receives a High Number of Visitors During its Promotion

From 9 November 2007 onwards, there are 75 taxis in the centre of London with advertisements on the vehicles themselves and two additional advertisements in their interior (with detailed information about the Slovenian winter offering) inviting people to winter holidays in Slovenia. The SLOVENIA SKIING promotion is a part of the STB’s communication and marketing campaign in November and December for targeted marketing on the British market, the goal of which is to persuade the British to visit Slovenia. The promotion also features visual elements of Slovenia’s new trademark. During the time of this promotion’s start and Slovenia’s successful presentation at WTM London that took place between 12 and 14 November, the British were in the fourth place in the number of visits to the official Slovenian tourist portal (www.slovenia.info). In the last few days, they have even overtaken Germany into third place. In the period following Slovenia’s participation at WTM London and the start of intensive advertising of the Slovenian skiing on the British market, the figures have increased by 178.38 % in comparison with the same period last year.
