The Golf Hotel: the Best Resort Hotel in Europe and the Mediterranean

The well known publishing house Condé Nast Johansens, which publishes international guides to luxury hotels, has declared the Golf Hotel in Bled the best resort hotel of 2007 in Europe and the Mediterranean. The Golf Hotel was selected on the basis of guest recommendations and evaluations by independent inspectors who, in addition to hotel services, also assessed the attractiveness of the hotel’s location. The Golf Hotel, operating within the frame of the Sava Hoteli Bled company, was the only Slovenian hotel mentioned the previous year in the Recommended Hotels & Spas guide covering Europe and the Mediterranean. This year, it received the prestigious award for excellence in the Best Resort category, one of the eleven listed categories. In the evaluation of its eligibility for this award, the guests and inspectors not only assess the quality of service, the friendliness of the staff and the price/service ratio, but also the attractiveness of the hotel’s location. The Golf Hotel received the award at a formal dinner on 12 November at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower Hotel in London, where the guides for 2008 were officially presented.
