Between 16 and 17 January 2008, the FIS Telemark World Cup will be held at the Kobla Ski Resort.

Between 16 and 17 January 2008, the FIS Telemark World Cup will be held at the Kobla Ski Resort. Slovenia will therefore host approximately seventy of the best male and female skiers from nearly fifteen countries around the world. On 15 January, the grand opening of the World Cup will take place, together with the public drawing of the starting numbers. The first run will begin on 16 January at 9:30 and the second at 12:30, followed by the World Cup’s main entertainment event, the awarding of medals to the best competitors from the first day and drawing the starting numbers for the next day’s run. The competition will end on Thursday, 17 January, when the best competitors will receive their awards. This season, telemark skiing is celebrating the 140th anniversary of the first recorded competition of this kind.
