The “Tourism and Leisure Time” Fair is approaching

Between 24 and 27 January 2008, the Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre (Gospodarsko razstavišče) will host the “Tourism and Leisure” fair, where the tourist offering and ideas for experiencing Slovenia and seeing the world will be presented, along with a mix of gastronomic delights. More than 200 exhibitors from 12 countries will be presenting their tourist offerings in an area of 8,000 square metres. At the event, the Slovenian Tourist Board (STB) will present Slovenia’s local features through the Next Exit – Byways are More Attractive than Highways project. Also, the STB’s Chat and Play Internet portal – one of the most interactive presentations of Slovenia for young people - will be presented for the first time. The SIMEX Exchange of Congressional Activities will also be presenting their supply and demand exchange in the field of business tourism at the event. The first two days of the fair will be dedicated to seminar and educational events within the framework of the fair. There will be round-table discussions and lectures by renowned local and foreign experts on topics such as the presidency of the European Union, gastronomy and the farmhouse tourism development strategy, sustainable development and the ecological organisation and modernisation of Slovenian hotels and more.
