The Successful Presentation of the 50th Fijet Congress in Cairo

Within the scope of the working part of the 49th Fijet World Congress of travel writers and journalists, which took place between 21 and 28 January 2008, Slovenia successfully presented itself as host of the 50th jubilee congress of this largest world association of travel writers and journalists. The FIJET Slovenia Association, which will be hosting 250 colleagues from their profession in October this year, has invited foreign journalists to Slovenia with informational materials and the presentation of the official Website for the Congress, which is presented as a sub-page of the official online tourist portal of the Slovenian Tourist Board (STO). At the presentation in Cairo, the Assistant Director of the Slovenian Tourist Board, Dejan Podgoršek, presented the most important economic indicators of Slovenia, the main tourist products and a video spot on Slovenia. He also emphasised the fact that Slovenia will be presiding over the European Union until the end of June this year.
