The Traditional Slovenian Evening in Milan, Attended by a Record Number of Italian Journalists

Today, on 7 February, Milan will host the Slovenian Evening for the sixteenth consecutive year. The Slovenian Tourist Board (STB) traditionally organises this event prior to the start of the largest Italian tourism exchange, the Borsa Internazionale del Turismo (BIT). More than a hundred representatives of the Italian media and more than ten Italian tourist travel organisers have responded to the invitations to this event. The focus of this year’s Slovenian Evening in Milan will be the presentation of Slovenia as the country presiding over the European Union, as a new member of the Schengen area and as a country whose tourist offering revolves around unspoiled nature. The tourist offering of the Lower Carniola and the White Carniola regions in particular will be presented. As a sign of gratitude for help in promoting Slovenia, the STB will grant special awards at the event to the five Italian journalists and media who contributed the most towards the recognition of Slovenia and Slovenian tourism on the Italian market.
