Slovenian Tourist Destinations Compete for the “European Destination of Excellence” Title for the First Time

The Slovenian Tourist Board (STB) has announced a call for the selection of a European Destination of Excellence in accordance with the guidelines of the “European Destinations of Excellence” (EDEN) project. For the first time, a Slovenian destination will be among the 20 European destinations selected in the coming months in the European countries’ national selection processes to receive the “European Destination of Excellence” title. The goal of this year’s project is to emphasise the diversity of the rich European non-material heritage and to introduce the emerging and less-visited tourist destinations that strengthen the significance of their specific non-material local heritage through tourism. The STB invites all the Slovenian municipalities to apply for selection as the Slovenian Destination of Excellence in accordance with the published selection conditions.
