The 2008 Calendar of Events

This year, the Slovenian Tourist Board (STB) has again prepared a calendar of events. On the cover of the 2008 Calendar is a man with a book representing Primož Trubar, father of the Slovenian written language and literature and the writer and publisher of the first two Slovenian books. This year marks the 500th anniversary of his birth and 2008 will be Trubar year in Slovenia, an anniversary that was also entered on the UNESCO calendar of important anniversaries.

The 21x27 cm 2008 calendar of important events was published in English, German and Italian with a total print run of 7,000 copies. It features 16 pages of selected events with detailed descriptions. It also features photographs of various venues and performers of classical and popular music plus exhibitions, theatre shows and dance performances.

An even more comprehensive edition of the 2008 Calendar of Events was published in Slovenian in co-operation with the Tourist Association of Slovenia. This booklet is 12x23 cm, its print run is 3,000 copies and it features more than 1,500 events on 78 pages.
