Celebration of the Alpine Association of Slovenia

On 1 March 2008, a central celebration of the Alpine Association of Slovenia, celebrating the 60th anniversary of its activity, will be held at the opening of the 15th jubilee Jurčičeva pot street march at the Mestni trg square in Višnja gora.
The Slovene Mountaineering Society, as the Alpine Association of Slovenia was first known, has made a significant contribution during all the years of its activity in promoting mountaineering and national awareness. The official speaker at the event will be the president of the Alpine Association of Slovenia Mr. Franc Ekar.
