10th Anniversary of Vocational College for Catering and Tourism Maribor

The 10th anniversary will be celebrated with a wide array of events distributed throughout the year. One of the biggest events is without doubt the graduation ceremony on 4 June 2008 at Hotel Habakuk, Maribor. For its 10th anniversary, the college published a special 84-page publication with a detailed timeline of the most important milestones in its 10-year history: from an idea and economic need for the college, from the beginning of cooperation with foreign schools and international associations, from the first projects and participation in various home and international events, to the present integration of the college into the local, regional, even international environment, to equal exchange of experience with renowned experts from Slovenia and abroad, to countless achievements of students and lecturers, whose contribution made the college well recognised among those who appreciate quality and desire for progress. The people at the Vocational College For Catering And Tourism Maribor are well aware of the fact that over the 10 years the college has become an essential part of the local environment, a vital ring in the chain of vocational education, an important piece in the mosaic of education and practical training of internationally competitive and successful catering industry and tourism human resources, and, last but not least, an important place where unique traditional local features are kept alive and fresh.
