Summer Season at Krvavec Well Underway

The summer season at Krvavec officially opened on Saturday, 7 June. On the first day of the summer season, RTC Krvavec organised a stone collecting campaign, one of a series of events to take place there during summer.

Holders of season ski passes and a wider audience were all invited to join in. In all, the campaign involved about 150 visitors, RTC Krvavec employees, farmers, and members of local herding communities. 60 cubic metres of stones were collected, which is more than 120 tonnes. The stones collected will be used in building (for roadworks across Krvavec, construction of piping and installations...). In summer, Slovenia's BEST ski resort is popular among hikers and cyclists primarily for its fresh mountain air, spectacular views, sour milk and other homemade food, numerous healing herbs, well-kept hiking and bicycle trails, and architect Plečnik's Chapel of St Mary of the Snows, all of which create a stunning mountain atmosphere.

Cable car timetable, 7 Jun – 12 Oct:
Monday to Friday 7:00 – 17:00 (every hour on the hour)
Saturday, Sunday, holidays 8:00 – 18:00 (every hour on the hour)

Cable car and chair lift rides for groups are also available outside normal operating hours—by prior arrangement only.
