Slovenian Dinner in Washington Held by Insider's Slovenia Agency

Soon after Americans had a chance to taste Slovenia in New York, in the context of events staged by the Slovenian Tourist Board in association with National Geographic Traveler, came another presentation of Slovenia in Washington. This time, an interesting promotional campaign was led by Slovenian tourist agency Rokus potovanja, known abroad as Insider's Slovenia. A Tour Company.

The agency organised a gala dinner for U.S. guests, which was hosted by the Slovenian Ambassador to the U.S.A., Mr Samuel Žbogar. The dinner was attended by 70 VIP guests, among them two senators and vice president of the National Geographic Society. Under the slogan “Bites, Sounds & Sights”, guests tasted the finest Slovenian cuisine prepared by a renowned chef from the Pri Danilu Inn, Reteče, Mrs Vesna Čarman, and drank fine wines. A special guest of the Insider's Slovenia gala dinner in Washington was author of the book “Taste Slovenia”, Mr Janez Bogataj, Ph.D., who held a witty presentation of individual dishes and wines, which immediately won the hearts of the dinner guests. Singer Brina added extra flavour to the evening.
By organising events such as this one in Washington, tourist agency Insider's Slovenia wants to upgrade the conventional offer, add value to it and secure additional promotion of Slovenia. On the US market, the agency works with luxury agency Travcoa, it has established strong ties with the National Geographic Traveler Magazine, and on top of that, business cooperation with its subsidiary National Geographic Expeditions is being discussed. Their travel packages include top restaurants, top-class accommodation, luxury transportation and special little things, the “icing” on their offer, which puts guests first.
