First National Catering & Tourism Job Exchange

The Directorate for Tourism, at the Ministry of the Economy, in collaboration with the Employment Service of Slovenia, Chamber of Tourism and Catering and other partners, is organising the First National Catering & Tourism Job Exchange, planned to take place at the end of September or beginning of October 2008.

The event will comprise a roundtable discussion, multimedia company presentations, motivational youth workshop and fair, with stands for face-to-face meetings with visitors. The event is aimed at final year students from all secondary and higher education schools of catering and tourism in Slovenia as well as final year college and faculty students enrolled in tourism programmes. The event also targets the unemployed and others interested in working in catering and tourism.
Catering and tourism companies invited to participate in the exchange will showcase their corporate promotional materials and conduct interviews at their stands; special multimedia presentations of companies will be held in a separate hall according to schedule. Time to talk to a company representative will be available at the end of each presentation.
Visitors (students) will get useful information about future employment prospects and establish contact with potential employers. The opening ceremony and roundtable discussion will feature special guests.
