During the 19th Olympic Games, Beijing 2008, the Slovenian Olympic Committee will be running the “Slovenian House in Beijing 2008” project in cooperation with the Slovenian Tourist Board and other partners: the Ministry of Education and Sport, the Ministry of the Economy, JAPTI – Public Agency for Entrepreneurship and Foreign Investments, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia. The slogan “United We Play” symbolises the comprehensive promotion of Slovenia in terms of sports, economy, tourism, politics and culture.

The Slovenian house, with thirty-two rooms, located in the northwest part of Beijing, only 20 minutes from most of the venues, will accommodate the three Slovenian business, political, and economic delegations visiting Beijing between 8 and 26 August 2008.
The Minister of the Economy, Mr Andrej Vizjak, M.Sc., will be visiting the Slovenian house between 14 and 19 August 2008. The programme will be coordinated by ten representatives of the company OKS – Olimp d.o.o., SI SPORT d.o.o., and cooperation partners. In charge of the culinary offer will be Mr Jožef Oseli.
