Successful Seventh “Next Exit” Project Season

For the seventh year running, the Slovenian Tourist Board has successfully run the biggest Slovenian tourism promotion project “Next Exit—Byways are more attractive than highways”, inviting domestic and foreign visitors to experience Slovenia by taking six tourist routes.

The beginning of the tourist season saw another reprint of three brochures (each featuring two theme routes) inviting visitors to the Emerald, Wind, Amber, Sun, Peddler, and Golden Horn routes.
This year’s print run of 800,000 copies is still being distributed across Slovenia.
The brochures are available all year round in tourist information centres, offices of the Automobile Association of the Republic of Slovenia, with keepers of individual theme routes and at other locations, such as the Ljubljana Airport, the Slovenian Railways Information Centre, in major tourist campsites open all year… Abroad, they are available at Slovenian Tourist Board representation offices in Italy, Germany and Austria. They are also handed out at some events and trade fairs abroad.
This year, the Next Exit project is again being actively promoted in association with Radio SI and the Costella company. Radio SI is broadcasted live in Slovene, English and German, hosting tourism companies presenting the six theme routes to the audience. “NEXT EXIT” brochures and Costella bottled water, courtesy of Costella, were handed out in the streets of Ljubljana in hot August days.
