Sometimes it seems that not only the beauty of our capital city, Ljubljana, but also the meaning and sound of its name are underrated.

In 2002 a young couple from Belgium visited Ljubljana and immediately fell in love with it. When they were told that by changing only one letter in the capital's name the word “ljubljena” is formed, which translates as “loved,” they were amazed by the deeper meaning of the name. Last year, on 30 October, a baby girl was born and they named her Ljubljana. Pictures show what a lovely and high-spirited girl she is. Living in Liege, the family can hardly wait to return to Slovenia and the city that completely captivated the parents, this time with their daughter.
