Tartini Festival Underway

The Tartini Festival 2008, held in Piran until 13 September, opened with a concert on Saturday, 23 August. The Tartini Gala Concert, hosted by the Portorož Auditorium amphitheatre, will star the remarkable Salzburg Chamber Soloists.

This international music festival will again delight numerous visitors with a great selection of top musical acts. Over three weeks, beautiful locations across Slovenian Istria will host ten classical concerts, featuring 40+ top performers from Austria, Italy, France, Hungary, the Netherlands, Romania and Slovenia. The highlight is the Tartini Gala Concert, which will take place at the Portorož Auditorium amphitheatre on 30 August 2008. The Salzburg Chamber Soloists chamber orchestra will perform musical classics that will leave no heart untouched. The programme includes The Four Seasons by Vivaldi, Flute and String Orchestra Concerto in D major by Tartini, and The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires by Astor Piazzolla.
