Eurostat is soon to release the Tourism Statistics publication, whose front cover will feature a photograph of Piran.

Eurostat is soon to release the Tourism Statistics publication, whose front cover will feature a photograph of Piran.

The author of the photograph is the head of the tourism statistics sector with Eurostat, Mr Christophe Demunter, who in June 2008 attended the "Agenda for a sustainable and competitive European tourism" conference, organised by the Directorate for Tourism at the Slovenian Ministry of the Economy in cooperation with the European Commission. The head of the tourism statistics sector with Eurostat was on that occasion so overwhelmed by the beauty of our historical coastal town that he decided to put a photo of the town on the front cover of Eurostat's publication.
