Over 100,000 Overnight Stays at Terme Čatež in August, Same as July

Company Terme Čatež, d. d., registered another record-high number of overnight stays in August. It generated over one hundred thousand overnight stays over a period of one month in July as well as August.

In August a total of 107,759 overnight stays were recorded, which is up by 10 percent over August 2007 (2007: 98,021). The Summer Thermal Riviera having sold 21 percent more tickets (2008: 36,571; 2007: 30,242), Terme Čatež topped last year’s ticket sales to the entire range of pool complexes by nearly 6 percent (2008: 44,910, 2007: 42,447). Also promising are the results of the first eight months of 2008 (January–August), as Čatež registered a 5-percent rise in overnight stays over the same period year over year.
Ending the summer season with success, Terme Čatež is optimistic about the future. A new investment is planned for this autumn: The Winter Thermal Riviera will be expanded with numerous attractions for children and adults. The total cost of the investment is EUR 6.4 million, 24 percent of which will be part-financed by the ERDF.
