New Slovenian Tourism Expo Stand

The new stand prototype for the communication of the “I Feel Slovenia” brand and promotion of Slovenian tourism offer has been selected.

The new stand prototype for the communication of the “I Feel Slovenia” brand and promotion of Slovenian tourism offer has been selected.

The winner of the contest to select the conceptual design for a new stand prototype is the company K.R.E.S. d.o.o., whose solution best suited the requirements for presentations of Slovenia at trade fairs and specialised tourism shows.
The debut presentation of the concept and design of the new stand took place during the 55th Catering & Tourism Convention in Moravske Toplice between 7–9 October 2008.
The winning solution is based on the comfort of senses and feelings and is entirely consistent with the “I FEEL SLOVENIA” brand manual and logo. Its basic features are recognisable, clean and simple graphical design, natural materials and compelling images that evoke strong associations. The stand can be adapted to fit different exhibition areas, from 50 to 200 square metres.
The use of natural and environment-friendly materials was the guiding principle in the planning stage. The prevailing material used is wood, a combination of maple and cherry.
The existing stand, which is still in use, is too restricted according to the tourism industry professionals, so in creating the new stand design we tried to make it as open as possible. The openness will be made possible by a ceiling structure which will make it easier to keep an eye on the stand and its visitors. Two large-format photographs at the centre of the stand will ensure recognizability and noticeability of the stand among numerous other images flooding the exhibition grounds. At the information desk, reflecting the easily recognisable “I Feel Slovenia” logo, next to the company name, each exhibitor will be able to display a photograph featuring its offer.
The stand affords modern approaches to marketing, as it is designed to provide full support for video playback on an LCD screen, touchscreen functionality and use of laptops.
The stand will be set up for the very first time abroad at one of the world's largest tourism trade fairs, the WTM – World Travel Market, London, 10–13 November 2008.
