Mountain Centre Activities in 2008/2009 Winter Season

The coming winter season brings new chair lifts at Areh and Krvavec and new accommodation facilities (annexe) at Hotel Arena, situated in the Maribor Snežni Stadion snow arena. The construction of an upgraded cross-country trail network with a new sports arena and hotel at Rogla is also underway. Good news for users of winter programmes is the Active Slovenija card, which is a benefit card and six-day ski pass valid in all Slovenian ski centres.

The coming winter season brings new chair lifts at Areh and Krvavec and new accommodation facilities (annexe) at Hotel Arena, situated in the Maribor Snežni Stadion snow arena. The construction of an upgraded cross-country trail network with a new sports arena and hotel at Rogla is also underway. Good news for users of winter programmes is the Active Slovenia card, which is a benefit card and six-day ski pass valid in all Slovenian ski centres.

Prices of ski tickets will go up by 1% to 6%, which corresponds to the inflation range. The prices will be kept within the inflation range despite soaring prices of electricity and fuels. To complement and enrich the winter programmes, the Ropeways Association of Slovenia in association with the Slovenian Olympic Committee – Sports for Everyone and the Ski Association of Slovenia are working on interesting new events to take place in mountain centres.
