To promote the development of sustainable tourism in Slovenia, the Slovenian Tourist Board organised in October a two-day study tour with field visits to examples of best practices for representatives of hotels, local tourist organisations and regional development agencies.

To promote the development of sustainable tourism in Slovenia, the Slovenian Tourist Board organised in October a two-day study tour with field visits to examples of best practices for representatives of hotels, local tourist organisations and regional development agencies.

Over two days, 15 and 16 October 2008, we looked at some eco- and biohotels, successful integration of different providers at the Ramsau ecodestination, and a nature park which developed successful tourism products that contribute to the conservation of the environment and at the same time meet the needs of both the local people and visitors.
