London's 29th World Travel Market Ends Successfully

The 29th World Travel Market (WTM) ended in London last week. Thirty-five Slovenian tourism businesses or business entities were presented on 200 square metres of exhibition space. The main theme of this year's presentation at the stand was the Julian Alps and the hiking product.

The 29th World Travel Market (WTM) ended in London last week. Thirty-five Slovenian tourism businesses or business entities were presented on 200 square metres of exhibition space. The main theme of this year's presentation at the stand was the Julian Alps and the hiking product.

In the context of Slovenia's presentation at this important global tourism event, the Slovenian Tourist Board also held a press conference at the WTM Press Centre, with speakers highlighting the unique and unspoilt landscape of Slovenia.
The media audience at the press conference was first addressed by Deputy Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to Great Britain Ms Jelka Travnik, who was pleased to see Slovenia at WTM London and underlined the great importance of the event for the promotion of Slovenian tourism. The other speakers were:
Mr Marjan Hribar, M.Sc., Director-General of the Directorate for Tourism, Ministry of the Economy; Mr Dimitrij Piciga, M.Sc., Director of the Slovenian Tourist Board; Mr Janez Fajfar, Mayor of Bled; and Mr Ian Mitchell, Scottish ecologist, frequent visitor to Slovenia and the only foreign warden of Slovenia's Triglav National Park.
