Bluetooth Campaign at Jože Pučnik Airport Continues

The Slovenian Tourist Board in association with Aerodrom Ljubljana and Creativ Interaktiv continues to provide cost-free interesting and useful information about Slovenia via Bluetooth.

The testing of the marketing campaign whose goal was to "provide the right information at the right time and the right place" was underway in December 2008 and January 2009. Registering success and generating positive feedback from users, the campaign has been extended until the end of May.
While on a shuttle bus to the airport terminal, passengers landing at Jože Pučnik Airport are invited to switch on the Bluetooth service on their mobile phones. The announcement is broadcast from the customs control all the way to the baggage reclaim area, which also incorporates what is known as the Bluetooth zone. Mobile phones with an activated Bluetooth connection display a prompt offering free information about Slovenia. After confirmation, a cost-free message is sent to the mobile phone, allowing users to download the application complete with information. The application is stored in the mobile phone until it is manually removed by the user. This enables users to access useful information and hints anytime, anywhere, making their stay in Slovenia more enjoyable and carefree.
The Bluetooth portal is available in Slovenian and English. It provides useful information to make the stay in Slovenia as trouble-free and memorable as possible, plus suggestions for sightseeing and upcoming events, as well as mobile voucher benefits offered by partners from the tourism industry. The campaign currently involves two partner businesses, the Caval Group, with coffee bars at Ljubljana and Tivoli castles, and Hotel Park in Ljubljana.
The Bluetooth application can also be downloaded to your mobile phone from www.slovenia.info. Simply visit the "Tourist Guide" section and follow the short download instructions.
