Slovenia’s spas and health resorts record above-average results in April and the first four months of 2009

Slovenia's natural health resorts continue to achieve very good results in terms of arrivals and overnight stays in the first four months of 2009.

With good occupancy rates over the holiday period that ran into the first days of May, the excellent results in April are also the result of intensive sales and marketing activities by spas and health resorts and increased activity on the domestic market on the part of the Slovenian Spas Association. With more and more people deciding on the spur of the moment to take short breaks, Slovenia's spas and health resorts are introducing flexible and dynamic pricing.
Foreign guest numbers were much higher this April because of the Easter holiday. The index of foreign guest arrivals reached an extraordinary 117.1 in April, with overnight stays at 109.6.
The Slovenian Spas Association is also devoting considerable attention to activities designed to attract more domestic visitors. An interesting promotional/sales publication was prepared and distributed in the middle of April, and we are now aiming to get attract domestic and foreign guests with the help of an e-newspaper.
