The Ljubljana Tourist Board has launched a new version of the website of the Tourist Destination of Ljubljana, intended for mobile device users. The website, Mobile Visit Ljubljana, is available at http://m.visitljubljana.si. It was designed by the Ljubljana-based company Innovatif.

While the website Visit Ljubljana at www.visitljubljana.si, launched by the Ljubljana Tourist Board last year, has a mission to enable users to make all the necessary arrangements for their visit to the Tourist Destination of Ljubljana online and in advance, the new mobile phone version of the website is mainly intended for those who have already arrived in Ljubljana and wish to obtain tourist and other information about the city and its surrounding areas and learn about events currently held there in a fast and easy way, using their mobile phones or personal digital assistants.

The website Mobile Visit Ljubljana is optimized for small screens. It is designed to minimize the amount of data transfer and keep the mobile device user's cost of browsing the web as low as possible. Apart from basic information on Ljubljana, the Mobile Visit Ljubljana website also provides information on accommodation, sights and attractions, current events, and the range of guided city tours and excursion to Ljubljana's surrounding areas. It is available in five languages: Slovenian, English, German, Italian and French.
