The Špik resort in Gozd Martuljek opens its doors

Despite the recession, the Hit Group has completed a development that represents a significant addition to tourism infrastructure in the Upper Sava Valley.

Despite the recession, the Hit Group has completed a development that represents a significant addition to tourism infrastructure in the Upper Sava Valley.

Hit subsidiary Hit Alpinea, which is at the forefront of the development of tourism in Kranjska Gora, opened the rebuilt and renovated Hotel Špik in Gozd Martuljek on 5 June 2009. The project involved the construction of a brand-new hotel on the site of the historic Hotel Špik (built in 1937) and the renovation of part of the hotel that was built in the 1980s. The total cost of the development was 13 million euros, with Hit Alpinea receiving a grant of 2.5 million euros from the European Union. The completion of this development guarantees 22 new jobs.
