Published Tourism Confidence Index 2009/2

The Tourism Confidence Index is published on the STB's website, and includes the results of the fifth round of surveying, which form the basis for the calculation of the Tourism Confidence Index in Slovenia.

The Tourism Confidence Index is published on the STB's website, and includes the results of the fifth round of surveying, which form the basis for the calculation of the Tourism Confidence Index in Slovenia.

Confidence in the development of Slovenian tourism has fallen amongst nearly all players in the Slovenian tourism industry, while all forecasts continue to point to expectations of a recession, and are below the level of 100, which indicates normal business. However, the first signs of optimism can be seen, as expectations for the next four months are higher than those of the last four months (a difference of 9 points in the Tourism Confidence Index) and nearly equal to expectations from the fourth round of surveying (a difference of 3 points in the Tourism Confidence Index).
