This year 20 tourism companies from Slovenia will be presenting themselves to existing and new business partners under the aegis of the Slovenian Tourist Board (STB). The central theme of this year's presentation of Slovenia is tourism in Slovenian Istria.

Group and coach tourism products in Slovenia will be presented in a 130 m2 exhibition space at this year's RDA Workshop in Cologne by 20 companies including spas, incoming travel agencies, local tourism organisations and hotels. The central theme of the presentation of Slovenian tourism at this year's RDA will be Slovenian Istria, which will also form the centrepiece of the presentation at the reception to be held on the Slovenian stand on the first day of the workshop, beginning at 6.00 p.m.
According to current TravelScope research by German market research company GfK, spending per person and per trip is significantly above average (834 euros) among older travellers. The 50–59 age group spend on average 918 euros, while those over 60 spend an average of 889 euros.

For visitors to the RDA Workshop in Cologne, the Slovenian tourist industry has prepared specific packages for 2010, with prices for groups of tourists. According to Majda Rozina Dolenc, the head of the STB bureau in Germany, "we can expect a specialisation in experiences on selected themes connected with nature and culture in the group holidays segment. The preparation and implementation of these themed programmes will require the participation of experts and specialists in the individual types of content, in order to ensure quality at all levels."
