Slovenia hosts the world's largest table tennis tournament for disabled

After Covid-19 measures have been released in Slovenia, the international table tennis tournament for disabled, organized by the Slovenian Paralympic Committee, is returning to Laško. As many as 327 players from 38 countries are participating in the tournament. There will be 600 participants in total in Laško. The Sports Federation for Disabled of Slovenia – Paralympic Committee of Slovenia (NPC Slovenia) has the longest tradition in the world for organizing such competitions.

The Slovenian national team includes Luka Trtnik, Andreja Dolinar, Primož Kancler and Bojan Lukežič. Already the first day of the competition was exceptional for the Slovenian national team, as three of them made it to the elimination fights in the individual competition. Thursday in Laško is reserved for mixed doubles matches.

The Slovenian Tourist Board has been participating in major international sporting events for many years, as they are an excellent opportunity to raise the profile and reputation of Slovenia as a tourist destination, especially for active recreation, training camps of athletes, and as an excellent host of sporting events. The event also provides an excellent opportunity to highlight the I feel Slovenia national and tourist brand.
