Ambassador of Slovenian Tourism Tadej Pogačar will take part in the Tour of Slovenia
The UAE Team Emirates has confirmed that Tadej Pogačar will compete in the Tour of Slovenia cycling race. This year, Tadej Pogačar also became the ambassador of Slovenian tourism. Along with Luka Dončić, Primož Roglič and Ilka Štuhec, he helps promote Slovenia as a destination for active holidays.
The Tour of Slovenia cycling race will take place from 9 to 13 June. At the 803.7 km long test, starting in Ptuj and finishing in Novo Mesto, 20 teams will compete at an average speed of around 40 km/h. 3 of the teams are Slovenian. In 2019, Tadej Pogačar won the white T-shirt for the best young cyclist on the Tour of Slovenia, but there is no secret that the current winner of the Tour de France aims to win the race this year. Tadej's role model and great friend, Primož Roglič, will not be in this race, but a member of the BikeExchange team, Luka Mezgec, will compete in sprints.
The Tour of Slovenia race will be broadcast live on Eurosport and national Slovenian television, which is certainly a great opportunity to present the natural and architectural beauties of the country. With the slogan "Fight for Green", the Tour of Slovenia has become known as an exceptional sporting event that offers all the elements for the excellent promotion of Slovenia as a tourist destination.
