Slovenia is ready to host the 2021 FIS Snowboard Alpine World Championships

Back in December, the originally scheduled FIS Snowboard, Freestyle and Freeski World Championships in Zhangjiakou in China had to be cancelled due to the uncertain situation with the COVID-19 pandemic. But soon the initial dissapointment was wiped away, as Rogla has stepped up as a last-minute host for World Championships competition.

Ever since Rogla joined the circuit as a venue back in the 2012/13 season, the venue has been an outstanding host of FIS Snowboard Alpine World Cup, with one of the more dynamic courses on tour and a strong and dedicated organising team, who are aim to create the best possible experience for athletes and fans alike. This time, the world championships will take place in a "bubble", with no spectators, but there’s no doubt that the athletes will be treated to outstanding competition days, with clear weather in the forecast and a race slope primed for action.

On March 1, over a hundred of snowboarders will compete in the parallel giant slalom, and a day later in the parallel slalom. Among the best in the world are also Slovenian competitors, including Žan Košir, Tim Mastnak and Rok Marguč, who already have six medals from world championships and are considered favorites.

The event will be watched by around 10 million spectators worldwide. The competition will be broadcast live in Austria, Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic, Poland, France, Great Britain, Russia, Switzerland, Finland, Canada and in many other countries, including Slovenia.

The Slovenian Tourist Board considers major international sporting events as an excellent opportunity to raise the profile and reputation of Slovenia as an attractive tourist destination, especially for an active break and sports preparations. In addition, such events showcase the country as an excellent host of the most demanding sporting events.

The I FEEL SLOVENIA brand is strongly integrated into the overall image of the 2021 FIS Snowboard Alpine World Championships. This is a great opportunity to present Slovenia to millions of spectators. Take a look at the inspiring promotional video:
