I feel Slovenia HIGHLANDER Julian Alps is a long-distance hiking event in which participants hike 100 kilometers in five days or 55 kilometers in three days, sleep in tents and carry everything they need (except food and water) with them. The organizer awaits them at the checkpoints, where refreshments and side programme is provided.
The event has grown into the largest chain of hiking festivals in the world (this year it takes place in 15 countries) and will take place here from June 24 to 28, 2023, and represents a trend in leisure and tourism products. About the route: The starting point above Lake Bohinj will offer beautiful views of Julijan Alps, and then the participants will go along the scenic ridge in the direction of Soriška planina, turn towards Baška grapa, Podbrdo, Tolmin, Kolovrat and finish in Kobarid.
