Argonaut Marathon

The Argonaut Marathon is a road cycling event of recreational/competitive nature, with start and finish in Vrhniki. The event was first organized in 2011. Participants can choose among three routes of 86 km, 63 km, and 24 km according to their fitness level.

Argonavtski maraton with start and finish in Vrhniki has become one of the best-organized cycling events in Slovenia in its 14-year history. The routes run through the picturesque landscape of Ljubljansko barje and the Polhograjski Dolomiti. Participants on the 86 km and 63 km routes ride under a road closure system with time measurement, while the 24 km route is designed for families with children from 6 years old onward.
