On 26 November 2025, at 18:00, you are invited to the Knjigarna kavarna Maks for a discussion on the past performative interventions of the 'e' project.

In the summer of 2024, the 'e' project staged 28 performative interventions in the border zone between the Adriatic and the Alps, exploring ideas of a different Europe, the heritage of Mediterranean Europe, and current migration issues. The project was realised by three artists, guests of the discussion evening, whose experiences, creativity and everyday lives are closely intertwined with crossing borders. Italian multimedia artist Alessandro Conte, living and studying in Italy, and Syrian writer and publisher Muhammad 'Abd al-Mun'im, living in Slovenia, will share their experiences. After the talk, led by Nataša Rogelja Caf, video excerpts from the performance will be shown.

Participants:

  • Alessandro Conte (socio-cultural craftsman, dramatist and actor),
  • Muhammad 'Abd al-Mun'im (editor, writer and poet),
  • Irene Beltrame (visual artist)
  • and Nataša Rogelja Caf, anthropologist (ZRC SAZU).

The conversation will be held in English.
