Flutist Felix Renggli and hornist Radovan Vlatković, both internationally established soloists and educators, present a program spanning chamber works from the late 19th to the 20th century. The evening features Ewazen’s Dance, Saint‑Saëns’s Romance, Poulenc’s Elegy, and Jacques Ibert’s piano suite. It concludes with Paul‑Agricola Génin’s virtuosic fantasy and Mel Bonis’s evocative Forest Scenes.

A man with curly gray hair stands on a dark stage, holding a gold flute. Dressed in a black suit, he looks thoughtful, creating a focused atmosphere.

The programme consists of a diverse selection of chamber music from the late 19th century and the 20th century. Eric Ewazen’s playful and clearly tonal Dance for flute, horn and piano draws on the tradition of American chamber music. The Romance for Horn and Piano by Camille Saint-Saëns offers an elegant, neoclassically balanced lyrical contrast, while Francis Poulenc’s Élégie, reveals the composer’s ability to move between seriousness and personal expression.
