BIEN Textile Art Biennial 2025: Nova Gorica

On Friday, 20 June 2025, the official opening of BIEN Textile Art Biennial 2025 will take place in Nova Gorica. Exhibitions will be held at the atrium of the City Municipality of Nova Gorica (MONG), Rotunda of the Slovene National Theatre of Nova Gorica (SNG), Trg Edvarda Kardelja, GONG Gallery, and Bevkov trg.

PROGRAMME:

Friday, 20 June

  • 11:00–16:00: Jesenice–Nova Gorica:
    • Register for the textile experience at bien@layer.si (25€/person or 15€/person for retirees, students, pupils, and the unemployed; includes travel, workshops, and guided tours),
    • 11:19–13:15: Train ride Jesenice–Nova Gorica with activities (textile creation workshops and Visa for the Future tarot performance by Nejla Kadirić),
    • 13:30–16:00: Guided walk through Nova Gorica, lunch break.
  • 16:00–18:00, SNG Rotunda: Dancing Thread family workshop with Ajda Tomazin,
  • 18:00, SNG Rotunda, Trg Edvarda Kardelja: official opening of BIEN 2025 in Nova Gorica,
  • 18:15, Municipality atrium: exhibition opening,
  • 19:00, GONG Gallery, Kidričeva 20 (entrance from Bevkov trg): exhibition opening and reception.

Saturday, 21 June

  • 10:00–12:00, SNG Rotunda: Dancing Thread family workshop with Ajda Tomazin,
  • 12:00, Rafut Park, Pristava: performance by Nika Batista,
  • 13:00–18:00: Walk through Nova Gorica and Gorizia, Fête de la Musique.
  • 18:00: opening of the BIEN 2025 a Gorizia.

Monday, 23 June

  • 18:00, Trg Jožeta Srebrniča 7, Solkan: opening of the "New European Silk" exhibition at the Solkan Community Office.

Tuesday, 24 June

  • 12:00–16:00, Carinarnica, Erjavčeva 53, Nova Gorica: "Material Flow" participatory workshop,
  • 18:00, Carinarnica, Erjavčeva 53: opening of the Material Flow exhibition.
