It's harvest time!

If you are planning a visit to the Slovenian wine-growing regions, late summer and early autumn are the best choices. In general, harvest time depends on weather conditions and the grapes’ ripeness, but it usually takes place between late August and late September. At that time, vineyards resound with the sounds of the accordion and the song of harvesters picking the sweet grapes. The air is filled with the scent of the new vintage and homemade treats prepared by dutiful housewives. Feel the easiness among the grapevines, join our boutique harvests, chat and have a laugh with the locals. After you are done, they will serve you a homemade meal and their own wine.

Harvests in good company

Harvest is a special time for winegrowers. Their hard work in the vineyard has been paid off with ripe grapes bearing a new vintage. So it is no wonder that some towns in our wine-growing regions are especially festive on the threshold of autumn. Join large public harvests, the largest one being the harvest of the Old Vine in Maribor.
