The legend of tarragon and a dragon

Have you ever asked yourselves what tarragon and a dragon have in common? If you ever visit Slovenia and its capital city, you will discover that they actually have a lot in common. Legend has it that the severely injured Argonaut Jason fought a dragon from the Ljubljana Marshes and quickly got better thanks to tarragon, the miracle herb. For this reason, tarragon is known as the dragon herb. Because a dragon is also a distinctive symbol of Ljubljana, an idea about special culinary souvenirs was born, connecting tarragon and the dragon. As you stroll through Ljubljana’s souvenir shops, you can find tarragon drinks with dragon names. As a cherry on top, you can taste a tarragon cocktail in a selected bar.
