Baltic Sea Philharmonic, Robert Trevino, conductor, Lana Trotovšek, violin

Programme: Einojuhani Rautavaara: Cantus Arcticus Max Bruch: Violin Concerto No. 1 in G minor, Op. 26 Jean Sibelius: Symphony No. 5 in E-flat major, Op. 82

A group of people stand on a sandy beach near a calm ocean under a partly cloudy sky. Some hold musical instruments, creating a sense of unity and creativity.

The closing concert of the 74th Ljubljana Festival explores northern sound worlds, from Rautavaara’s meditative Cantus Arcticus and Bruch’s lyrical Violin Concerto to Sibelius’s monumental Fifth Symphony. The Baltic Sea Philharmonic is conducted by Robert Treviño, with violinist Lana Trotovšek as soloist.
