Leo De María piano

The programme brings together three contrasting musical worlds. Granados’s suite Goyescas draws on the art of Francisco Goya with its poetic and colourful expression. Liszt’s Dante inspired fantasy unfolds a dramatic and almost symphonic soundscape. Prokofiev’s Piano Sonata No. 8 reveals powerful energy and great technical intensity. All works will be performed by Leo de María a pianist with wide international experience and a distinctive artistic voice.

A man in a suit leans casually on a grand piano, exuding confidence. The open lid reveals strings and hammers, enhancing a professional, musical ambiance.

Spanish pianist Leo de María, a former student of Leonel Morales in Madrid and Pavel Gililov in Salzburg (both are members of the jury of the Ljubljana Festival International Piano Competition 2026), has gone on to develop a stylistically diverse profile as a pianist. Today he combines concert performances with teaching roles in Madrid and Salzburg and regular masterclasses in the United States. He appears regularly in concert halls throughout Europe and in the United States, Mexico etc.
