24 Hours of Charity Paddling

24 Hours of Charity Paddling

With the event, we combine the charitable initiative “24 Hours of Charity Paddling” with a personal challenge in which participants test how many kilometers they can paddle within 24 hours on a circular course on the Ljubljanica River, which runs through the city center between Livada and Ambrožev trg.

Three athletes compete in a canal race, two stand-up paddleboarding and one in a kayak. They wear numbered jerseys, creating a lively, competitive scene.

Paddling takes place on a circular course on the Ljubljanica, with the start and finish at KKK Ljubljana, Livada 31, and the turning point under the bridge at Ambrožev trg. The length of one lap is 5.5 km. The course is not demanding, as the Ljubljanica River is completely calm. All types of kayaks or canoes, as well as SUP, may be used. Each participant in their category may freely choose the number of laps they complete.
