At the opening concert of the 40. Slovenian Music Days, the visionary creativity of Janez Matičič—shaped in the Parisian sound laboratory under the influence of Pierre Schaeffer and his teacher Nadia Boulanger—will take centre stage. His Piano Concerto No. 1 will be performed by the SNG Maribor Symphony Orchestra conducted by Simon Krečič, with Lovorka Nemeš Dular as the soloist.
