Medieval Winter Day at Celje Castle

Imagine a day when time stands still for a moment. When the air is filled with the scent of smoke, spices, and winter, and sparks from the fire dance above the castle courtyard accompanied by the sounds of old melodies. This is our Winter Medieval Day, the only one of its kind in Slovenia.

A fire performer in medieval attire spins fire poi in a dimly lit courtyard, with vivid red and blue lighting creating a dramatic and mystical atmosphere.

Juggling on stilts

The tavern and winter market will be open.

The road to the castle will be closed during the Winter Medieval Day event.

A free bus will run (on December 13 from 3:30 p.m. onwards and on December 14 from 9:30 a.m. onwards) from the bus stop at the train station to Celje Castle.

We also recommend walking or using taxi services.
