Velike Lašče: The Christmas Bread Festival

The Christmas Bread Festival brings together various events that will take place in the Municipality of Velika Lašče in December. 
Golden, ornately decorated bread on a white lace doily against a blue background. Cartoon fish illustrations are drawn on either side.

The red thread connecting all the events is Christmas bread. It has always been part of the Christmas holiday tradition and represents an important element of cultural heritage, symbolising the time we devote to our loved ones, our neighbours, and our communities.

The opening of the Christmas Bread Festival and Advent Market will take place on 5 December 2025 at 5 p.m.

You are warmly invited to attend any of the events organised by various organisations throughout December in Velike Lašče!
